SCHIP estimates in Nebraska

How many children in Nebraska are without health insurance? It depends on whom you ask . The state's health department says 4,500 children are eligible for the state's version of SCHIP but are not enrolled. But an advocacy group that seeks an expansion of Kids Connection says the number is 15,000 to 17,000.
