Oregonians Vote Down SCHIP-like Measure

Good for the residents of Oregon. For one thing, the idea of writing the specific rate of and use for a tax is not a good idea. Legislators should be responsible for making such decisions, which should not be cluttering up constitutions.

This is especially true if we're talking about something with as many potential negative implications as a government-financed health plan.
