The difference between market entrepreneurs and political entrepreneurs that Dr. Folsom (a former history professor of mine, btw) discusses in his book is an important one that many fail to grasp. Many of the stock villains that the anti-market folks use to promote more government control of our health care are really businessmen who use the market to shut out competition. Many people don't understand how heavily regulated the health care marketplace really is. They also don't understand that this regulation is responsible for many of the problems in our current system. It's something that our side really needs to do a better job explaining.
