The Missouri Health Transformation Act of 2008: Everything and the Kitchen Sink

It sure ain't pretty, but anytime government makes decisions that affect people's lives, there's going to be money spent trying to influence the decision-making process. You can't simultaneously have large government and minimal lobbying.
There is obviously a lot of money being spent trying to pass this bill. Here in Kansas City I have heard many commercials daily this week touting how this bill is the only chance many Missourians may have to get health insurance and how that will reduce health insurance costs for everyone.

Blanket statements like that scare me.
Large amounts of money being spent on one side of an issue scares me more.

Thanks for the summary!
