Yes, there is a silver lining to every cloud. Plus, the increasing acceptance of the idea that your health insurance should not be attached to your job. The problem with these polls is that they ask questions like: "Who should provide your health insurance, your employer or the government?". That's kind of like asking: "Who should provide your homeowners' insurance, your employer or the government?" When the question is framed like that, people cannot answer it sensibly. Nevertheless, when people agree it need not be the employer, it gives our side a good opening to promote consumer-driven health care.
I suppose it's encouraging to see that support for "government's responsibility" has gone down. Then again, that change could simply be a sampling error.
