Government Efficiency, Texas-Style

The Houston Chronicle says that over 1,200 people received paychecks from Texas health and human service agencies totaling over $738,000 during a two-year period--and that's after their employment was terminated.

Proponents of government-run health care say that it will save us money by reducing administrative overhead. But expect more wasteful spending such as this, the more often that government takes over our health care.
