Beverly Gossage, the Director of HSA Benefits Consulting, is a Consumer Driven Healthcare Consultant and HSA specialist.

The first small business that Beverly helped with one of these plans was a plumbing company in Lawrence owned by her family. Since that time, she has reduced health insurance premiums for individuals and businesses across the Midwest.

As health consultant and research fellow for the Show Me Institute she has written articles and shared ideas on health reform with Missouri legislators and the governor’s office.

She has testified on bills regarding health policy in both houses of the Kansas Legislature and serves on the health board of the Flint Hills Center for Public Policy.

"Insure Missouri" Plan Deviates from Free-Market Reforms

The ink is barely dry on HB 818, a ground breaking health reform bill with a free market approach, encouraging individual responsibility and employer participation. Other states in the Midwest, including Kansas, are looking to copy it. Now comes "Insure Missouri," a plan to provide health insurance to low-income adults, loosely modeled after the government-run, connector type Healthy New York program. This new proposal does not continue down the path to the free enterprise reform that put Missouri on the map.
